These Willowwood Arboretum engagement photos are definitely one of my many favorites thus far. When Olivia and Vince suggested this beautiful place, I automatically said YES! Willowwood Arboretum is located in Far Hills New Jersey and reading the signs up to the location, Willowwood began as a peach farm that was converted into an arboretum and eventually preserved as a Morris County Park.
Since I really enjoy visiting new locations for engagement photos, I was super excited for our day to come. I love exploring together with the couple and making our session an experience. We started at an open field with lots of beautiful natural light and tall grass and as the sun started to set, Olivia suggested a little hidden location up the road where I was so happy she found. Not only were we alone but the sun set just perfectly.
Lots of friends ask me, how do I do it? How do I capture beautiful photos of couples and even families? I simply tell them, it is not about just taking their photos, it is about building, seeing and documenting their connection. We’ve all experienced love and how it makes us feel and that’s what I love to capture. It’s not just taking their photos, it is more about documenting their love and story in a session.
I had a blast with Olivia and Vince! We connected right away with lots of things in common which I absolutely love. Having a connection is very important to me. I am so happy to be documenting their wedding next year. I am predicting lots of dancing and laughter! Congratulations guys and can’t wait to share the gallery with you.
