Olde Mill Inn weddings are so beautiful. This rustic style venue is located in Basking Ridge NJ offering an intimate setting for any wedding.
So when I met Desiree and Vincent in Philadelphia for their engagement photos they were both nervous. Totally understandable but after a few clicks and touring the city, we totally hit it off and felt like we were hanging out in Philadelphia with friends and a camera.
I secretly couldn’t wait for January 2019 to arrive!
Now, fast forward to 2019 and their wedding is here! Let me tell you a little bit about Des and Vincent’s day. It was exactly how I was picturing it and even more! Our morning started with getting ready photos. These photos are considered to be the photos prior to ceremony. During getting ready, things like hair/makeup, details, and laid back interaction are being captured. I love this part of the day, because it is a lot of fun due to a more relaxing atmosphere. This morning, the girls and Desiree had a ton of energy and excitement! I was able to capture a lot of great emotions and connections, I even got to photograph the song “baby shark” performed and danced by the two bridesmaids to the flower girl (girls, did great! )
What happens after the getting ready photos? Two things, we either go straight to the ceremony or we capture a first look. Desiree and Vincent opted to have an intimate first look prior to their church ceremony at a near by park(Great Swamp). I really do recommend a first look, specially for winter weddings due to the daylight savings here in New Jersey plus its so special to capture. This will allow you to have a little bit more time to party with your friends and family after your ceremony and enjoy your cocktail hour.
Directly after their first look, we captured a their formal portraits and headed to their church in Bernadsville, NJ. When I arrived at Bernardsville Church, I was floored by the outside beauty. It reminded me of a small castle, up on the hill and consequently it was! Their ceremony was absolutely beautiful and heartfelt and the rest is history ! Therefore, this next sentence may sound cliché but their day was really perfect and beautiful. Above all, I found myself swimming in endless love, laughter and so much fun. Their vibe was truly contagious! As a result, if you ask me to describe their day in 3 words, I would have to say 1. magical, 2. emotional , and 3. fun. I cannot wait to share the rest of the images! Congratulations Desiree and Vincent and thank you so much for allowing me to be part of your special day!
